GENERAL INQUIRIES

WHO IS MR. RL? Mr. RL is a Toronto-based online shop that offers a unique selection of colourful contemporary wall art prints and posters. The goal is to make art available and affordable for you. With our modern and colourful aesthetic, our art prints add character and conversation to any home and finishing touches to the look of every space.

WHERE DO YOU GET YOUR IDEAS FROM? A lot of my ideas come from an amalgamation of a variety of inspiration. I get my inspiration from many places, but much of my design process revolves around a gut instinct of how I think and feel a piece should look, and ultimately what I want to communicate. The main aspects that spark my interest are pop culture, shared experience, colour and shape.

WHERE ARE YOUR PRODUCTS MADE? The prints are designed and produced in Toronto, Canada. I oversee production to make sure the prints meet quality standards. 

WHAT MATERIALS DO YOU USE? Quality and durability is always at the top of my list. For risograph prints, I use a high quality 80lb premium cover stock while the digital prints use a 160lb premium cover stock. Crisp uncoated paper with a matte look and a smooth finish. The digital prints use advanced printing technology for vibrant and crisp images. Packaging and supplies are made from 80% post consumer waste which are fully recyclable. 

WILL MY POSTER LOOK EXACTLY AS IT DOES ONLINE? I've spent many hours ensuring the product photography reflects what's seen in the final product. However, it might look slightly different compared to your computer screen and that's because every screen is calibrated differently. Your household lighting can further affect how the eye perceives colour when the product is in front of you. But rest assured, at Mr. RL we use advanced digital printing technology to produce our prints, so we can deliver high definition, vibrant images with a crisp modern look. 

WHAT ARE RISOGRAPH PRINTS? Risograph is a printing process by which each colour is coated on the paper each time the paper is fed through the printer. It's similar to screen printing but the printer applys each layer of colour for you. Because of this, there are very slight misalignments within the print, but nothing major that would cause issues in the aesthetics of the print. The major pro of the risograph printing process is the ink, it gives very even ink coverage without compromising it's painterly feel. Risograph inks are soy based made from vegetable soy oil. DO YOUR PRINTS FIT IN STANDARD FRAMES? Yes all prints that you see on Mr. RL fit standard frame sizes that you can easily source from IKEA or any other shop. My focus is to make things easy for the customer so they can enjoy the print right when they receive it. This is always top of mind during the design process.

ORDER INQUIRIES

HOW DO I KNOW MY ORDER IS BEING PROCESSED? Right after you've placed your order, you will receive a confirmation email.

WHEN CAN I EXPECT MY ORDER? Right after you've placed your order, you will receive a confirmation email. All in-stock orders are processed within 2-4 business days. 

When we’ve packaged your order and it leaves our warehouse, we notify you by email and give you the tracking number.

For orders in Canada and US, shipping then takes approximately 2-7 business days, while Expedited shipping takes 1-3 business days.

Please add 2-3 business days for shipments to Alaska, Hawaii, and U.S. territories such as Puerto Rico and U.S. Virgin Islands.

Shipping time cannot be guaranteed at peak periods. Should you have any questions, please contact us at MrRLshop@gmail.com.

I STILL HAVEN'T RECEIVED MY ORDER. WHAT SHOULD I DO? (1) Find the order confirmation you received by email and track your parcel with the chosen courier and the tracking number provided. (2) Contact us if something doesn’t feel right or if it's been more than 7 working days since you have placed your order. We’ll be happy to assist you!

Shipping delays for International Orders can vary from country to country. Depending on the shipping method, international orders can usually take up 5-12 business days to arrive.

Please note that once your order is processed, we cannot change or cancel your order, nor reroute it to a new address. Should you have any other questions, read our FAQ or contact us at MrRLshop@gmail.com.

WHAT ARE MY PAYMENT OPTIONS? We accept payments by VISA, Mastercard and American Express credit cards, as well as PayPal. Prices are listed in Canadian dollars (CAD).

WHERE DO YOU SHIP? We ship to Canada and the United States. We also ship internationally – pretty much anywhere on the planet. Note that we also ship to P.O. boxes outside of Canada and the U.S.

CAN I COME TO PICK UP MY ORDER IN PERSON? As we are an online business only, we do not currently have a physical store. However, we always offer free shipping for a purchase over $50 (pre-tax). If you would like to pick up your order at a coffee shop etc. email me and we can see what can be done!

THE ITEM I WOULD LIKE TO GET IS OUT OF STOCK. WHAT SHOULD I DO? We are probably just restocking. Contact us to find out or to ask to be notified when we get the stock back in. 

WHAT IF I NEED TO CHANGE OR CANCEL MY ORDER? We process orders quickly, but we’ll do our best to accommodate changes to your order. Though we cannot guarantee it, the best way to change or cancel an order is to write to us immediately at MrRLshop@gmail.com.

ARE PRICE ADJUSTMENTS OFFERED? Unfortunately we don't offer price adjustments. 

 

SHIPPING INQUIRIES

WHAT ARE YOUR SHIPPING METHODS AND HOW LONG DO THEY TAKE?Right after you've placed your order, you will receive a confirmation email.

All in-stock orders are processed within 2-4 business days. We carefully hand-package your art prints in protective paper, clear sleeve, and a resistant rigid mailer.

When we’ve packaged your order and it leaves our warehouse, we notify you by email and give you the tracking number, so you can follow its journey to your door. Please note that once your order is processed, we cannot change or cancel your order, nor reroute it to a new address.

Standard Canadian orders are shipped via Canada Post take up to 2-5 days to arrive.

Expedited Canadian orders are shipped via Canada Post take 1-3 days to arrive.

American continental U.S. orders take 3-7 business days, while shipping to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, U.S. Virgin Islands, and other territories may take 2-3 business days more. Shipping time cannot be guaranteed at peak periods.

American Expedited orders are shipped via Canada Post take 2-4 business days. We cannot guarantee expedited shipping to P.O. boxes or rural postal codes and zip codes, so please select standard shipping. 

International - Delays for International Orders can vary from country to country. International orders are shipped via Canada post and can take up to 5-12 business days to arrive. 

Please note that if your order is refused at customs, you will still be responsible for charges incurred in shipping the package. If your order is returned to us because you did not collect it at the carrier or post office, you will be charged if there is a cost associated with the return mail back to our warehouse. We will be in contact should this issue arrises. Once returned to us, you will be reinbursed the price of the product but the original shipping cost will not be refunded.

HOW MUCH DOES SHIPPING COST? Shipping charges can range depending on where you are in the world, but orders over $50 will receive free complimentary standard shipping. You can calculate shipping most accurately at checkout.

Note that we do ship to P.O. boxes outside of Canada and the U.S with Canada Post. Please add 2-3 business days for shipments to Alaska, Hawaii and U.S. territories such as Puerto Rico, U.S. Virgin Islands, Guam, and the Northern Mariana Islands. For shipping to an APO / FPO / DPO address, it will take 2-4 weeks.

InternationalShipping for an international order varies, the most accurate price will be calculated at checkout. Note that you will be responsible for all duties and taxes charged to you at delivery. Unfortunately, we are unable to supply estimated duties, taxes and customs charges as this information will vary by country. 

Please note that if your order is refused at customs, you will still be responsible for charges incurred in shipping the package. If your order is returned to us because you did not collect it at the carrier or post office, you will be charged if there is a cost associated with the return mail back to our warehouse. We will be in contact should this issue arrises. Once returned to us, you will be reinbursed the price of the product but the original shipping cost will not be refunded.

 

RETURN INQUIRIES

WHAT IS YOUR RETURN POLICY? Unfortunately, the technology available today allows art prints to be duplicated with ease. Therefore, we do not accept returns or exchanges. Some items can’t be returned. For example, items on final sale are not eligible for returns. We want you to be happy with your order so we only replace items if they are defective or damaged during shipping. If you need your item replaced, send us an email with a photograph of the defective or damaged item to MrRLshop@gmail.com and we will process your claim after it's been reviewed.

If your claim is approved, we ask that you follow a few rules when returning an item:

  • Return your item within 30 days (from the delivery date)

  • Return the items in the original packaging

  • Refunds are given in the original payment form.

  • For international returns, please contact us at MrRLshop@gmail.com.

HOW CAN I EXCHANGE AN ITEM? Unfortunately, the technology available today allows art prints to be duplicated with ease. Therefore, we do not accept exchanges. However, if the product you receive is defective please contact us at MrRLshop@gmail.com and we will get that taken care of as soon as possible.

I THINK MY POSTER IS DAMAGED, DEFECTIVE OR INCORRECT. WHAT SHOULD I DO? If you think you have received a damaged, defective or incorrect item, please contact us at MrRLshop@gmail.com. We kindly ask that you send us a photo of the damage, or the wrong item you received, as well as your order number, receipt copy, name and email address used on the order. No worries, we’ll take good care of you. Your satisfaction is our priority!
